How Redaktor makes money
Redaktor is an independent publication run by Luke Hopewell. This page explains how the site pays its way, and what that does and doesn’t change.
Affiliate links
Some links on Redaktor go to shops. If you click one and buy something, the shop may pay Redaktor a small commission. You don’t pay any more for it.
Redaktor uses Skimlinks, a service that turns ordinary links to participating shops into affiliate links automatically. That means a link to a retailer anywhere on the site may earn a commission, including in articles published before this page existed. Some older reviews also link to Amazon Australia through its Associates program.
Commissions don’t decide what Redaktor covers or what it says. Nothing is recommended, ranked or reviewed more kindly because a shop pays more.
How we get the things we review
From October 2026, every review and travel story says how the product, car or stay came to us: bought, lent, gifted, or hosted by the brand.
Sponsored content
If a brand pays for an article, it is labelled as sponsored at the top.
