Enchante: Daniel Ricciardo and St Hugo now have a rosé

It has long been said that real men wear pink. But former F1 driver turned marketing genius and all-round nice guy, Daniel Ricciardo, has taken it one step further with a new rosé collab that promises to get tastebuds racing.
What is it?
Enchanté Rosé is the latest release in Daniel Ricciardo’s growing collection of wines made in partnership with St Hugo—and it marks a shift in pace. Lighter, fresher, and distinctly more relaxed than his previous reds, this is a dry, contemporary rosé built for long lunches and warm-weather afternoons.
As with previous DR3 x St Hugo drops, the wine wasn’t just created in Ricciardo’s name. The driver turned lifestyle aficionado played a hands-on role in shaping the drop himself. Danny said of Enchante Rose that he wanted to create something that felt distinctly him: relaxed but refined, and suited to the kind of moments that don’t need to be planned to be memorable.
Senior winemaker Trina Smith brought serious rosé pedigree to the table. Smith worked closely with Ricciardo to translate the vision into something that holds its own for your next garden party.
Tasting notes: ‘Enchante’ by Daniel Ricciardo and St Hugo
So what’s it like on the palate?
Well, there’s an energy to Enchanté Rosé that hits you before the first sip. It’s not loud or overpowering. Much like Ricciardo himself, Enchante is more like that friend who walks into the room and immediately shifts the mood. Bright, effortless, and just a little mischievous.
On the nose, it opens with a clean, off-dry yet fruit-forward lift. Think cool-climate red fruits that feel more zippy than sweet. There’s also this fine edge that runs through it; not sharp, but deliberate. Like the kind of structure that holds a spontaneous afternoon together.
It’s crisp without being tart, carrying just enough texture to make it interesting without asking too much of you. You’ll find hints of crushed berries, and a smooth yet more-ish finish.
Like most rosé, it doesn’t overcomplicate itself. There’s no need for a food-pairing thesis here. Sure, it slots right in next to chargrilled seafood, a roast chook with lemon and thyme, or whatever’s in that bowl of chips you’re pretending not to finish. But just pair it with some mates and a sunny afternoon and you’re home.
It meets the objectives of the rosé perfectly: all fun, no pomp.
Where to buy?
Right now, Enchante by Daniel Ricciardo is being carried at Dan Murphy’s locations, or on its online store.
