Bell & Ross 2023 new models: the best gold collection of the year?
Green and gold is having a moment in watches right now. Bell & Ross has done more than just jump on the hype train. It’s driving it.
It’s watches that make Luke Hopewell tick. He’s been a watch writer for five years and a tech writer for 10 before that.

Bell & Ross’ first Geneva Watches and Wonders appearance kicked off with a bang.
The French brand dropped two of the best gold watches of 2023 that I can’t stop looking at.
Here’s what’s new from Bell & Ross’ first trip to Watches and Wonders.
BR 03-92 Diver
The new BR 03-92 DIVER WHITE BRONZE marks a new chapter in B&R’s underwater legacy.
Paired with a pearl white dial, the bronze case of this timepiece evokes “the glorious hours of the first underwater explorations with a modern flair”.
The alloy used for the case is CuSn8, composed of 92% copper and 8% tin. This gives it a visually appealing tone that’s quite close to classic fittings on old sail boats and classic yachts. At the same time, it overlaps with the types of bronze that are so prized today by contemporary designers and architects.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the BR 03-92 DIVER WHITE BRONZE is still a professional quality tool watch designed for divers. Like all the instrument watches in the BR 03 family from Bell & Ross, this timepiece was conceived and designed to meet the rigorous demands of divers and their activities.
You’ll look stylish at depth, with a water resistance, which is rated up to 300 meters. This impressive level of water resistance is achieved through a series of careful design elements. Like a screw-down crown that ensures the watch remains watertight and a unidirectional rotating bezel that allows divers to track their time underwater with precision.
Inside, the BR-CAL.302 automatic movement powers the functions. It has a power reserve of 38 hours and is encased in an anti-magnetic cage for added durability.
BR 05 Green Gold
This is it. This is one of my favourite watches of the year. The BR 05 Gold collection from Bell & Ross is truly a sight to behold.
It’s not every day that one sees watches that are crafted from the finest materials. Each model in this collection is fashioned from 18-carat 5N gold.
It’s hard not to feel impressed by the incredible craftsmanship that has gone into creating these timepieces.
One of the most striking features of the BR 05 Gold collection is the sapphire crystal caseback. It shows off the engineering quality and the the automatic BR-CAL.321 mechanism. The oscillating weight is also adorned in gold, adding to the luxurious feel of the watch.
The green shade on the dial takes on a luminous, sparkling tone. The painted metal plate that serves as the base of the dial has a sunburst effect that changes colour when tilted. The depth of the astonishing green is achieved through numerous coats of tinted green varnish on the dial.
To ensure better readability in the dark, the hands (except for the seconds-hands), numerals, and indices are covered in C3 superluminova. Helps you go from day to night!
It comes in at a cool $51,200 for the 40mm beauty, and it also fits a green leather strap.
